Kelra’s Son Is Immortalized in Beatrix’s Finals MVP Skin

There are many ways to leave a legacy. Some etch their names on trophies, others in the memories of crowds inside roaring arenas. But Kelra chose something more personal — he immortalized his son’s name on the battlefield that shaped him.

When ALL-STAR asked Kelra about the final design of Beatrix’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Finals MVP skin, his eyes lit up with a pride that can’t be faked.

“Unang-una masaya ako kasi pangarap ko ito sa MLBB career ko na I hope na makapag-champion kami sa M6 para kung sakali man na maging Finals MVP iyon (Beatrix) talaga yung pipiliin ko at parang planado talaga yung malagay yung pangalan ng anak ko [sa skin],” he said.

His son’s name, Slake, is stitched onto Beatrix’s clothes — a subtle mark only a father’s love could place.

“Para kahit wala na ako dito sa ML, maipagmamalaki ko sa kanya na ito yung nagawa ko sa ML dati. ‘Nandito yung pangalan mo, ikaw mismo ito pati ako yung skin na ito,’” he added.

What used to be just a skin is now a time capsule — of love, skill, and legacy.

ONIC PH’s Identity, Etched in Hair

Even the smallest details carried meaning.

The Beatrix MVP skin’s wolfcut hairstyle wasn’t just a design choice.

“Diba pagpasok namin noong Season 14, lahat kami naka-wolfcut. Sini-symbolize ko lang yung wolfcut na iyon sa aming lahat. Kumbaga, kapag sinabi na wolfcut na buhok, ibig sabihin non ay ONIC. Kaya iyon lang din yun pinalagay ko para hindi lang siya Kelra, ONIC din siya,” Kelra proudly said.

This was more than Kelra’s signature skin. It was ONIC PH’s banner too.

Slake, Immortalized in Voice Lines Too

When the skin debuted to the public during the MPL Philippines Season 16 match between AP Bren and Aurora, Kelra wasn’t surprised — at least not at first.

He had already seen earlier drafts, though they looked different back then.

“Actually hindi ako nagulat kasi nakita ko na iyon bago pa lumabas… Tapos nagulat ako na red pala yung kulay ng buhok,” he recalled.

But what stunned him wasn’t the crimson hair — it was what he heard.

“Overall, sobrang nagandahan ako kasi yung pinakahabol ko talaga doon is yung pangalan ng baby ko, si Slake. Tapos yung sa voice-line, sa mga sinasabi din ni Beatrix, doon din ako nagulat kasi ang daming nababanggit na pangalan ni Slake,” Kelra said.

“Sinabi ko rin na lagyan ng Slake sa mga voice-line… masaya ako kasi ang daming beses na nasabi yung anak ko sa skin na iyon,” he continued.

Beatrix doesn’t just wear Slake’s name — she speaks it.
And somewhere out there, years from now, when Slake is old enough to understand, he’ll hear it too — the proof that his father once ruled the MLBB world.

And that he did it all for him.

“I hope na bumili kayong lahat,” Kelra concluded, smiling as he clasped his hands in a pleading gesture.
