Domeng on Why It Was Hard to Call Shots With Renejay

When Renejay revealed on a livestream that Aurora Gaming’s Domeng seemed uneasy around him, the admission sparked speculation. Did the presence of one of the scene’s most beloved figures hold back a rising rookie from his full potential?

Domeng himself clarified the matter.

But when Renejay left, Domeng admitted his confidence improved. But he dismissed rumors that it was all because of a negative vibe with the former MLBB superstar.

“Syempre, parang lumuwag ang loob ko na mag shot call,” Domeng said when asked about Renejay’s departure.

Instead of resentment, what surfaced was motivation.

The turning point came mid-season of MPL Philippines Season 15, when Renejay stopped calling the shots.

“May time na hinayaan niya ako mag shot call and nakasupport lang din siya sa akin. That time, mid-season ng Season 15, hinayaan niya ako mag call noon, nagpapa-alalay lang ako sa kanya kung anong pwede kong gawin,” Domeng told ALL-STAR.

And when the question of bad blood came up, Domeng dismissed it.

Far from rift, Domeng’s words painted a portrait of mutual respect.
