Oheb Shuts Down Transfer Talk

MPL’s star gold laner Kiel Soriano, better known to fans as Oheb, shut down rumors that he’s leaving MLBB esports for its rival title, Honor of Kings (HOK).

Whispers about a possible transfer began after Oheb was spotted watching the playoffs of HOK’s world championship series, the KIC 2025, held in Manila.

For context, Oheb isn’t just any MLBB pro. As one of the most dominant gold laners in MPL history, he helped steer Blacklist International through its golden era, including their legendary M3 World Championship run. His aggressive laning, sharp mechanics, and iconic Beatrix plays turned him into a fan favorite and a central figure in Blacklist’s dynasty years. Even after stepping away from the Blacklist roster, he has remained one of the scene’s most recognizable names.

Which is why fans panicked when rumors swirled that he was switching titles. Whispers that began after he was spotted watching the playoffs of HOK’s world championship series, the KIC 2025, held in Manila.

Content creator Hot-E pressed him on the issue: “Clarification lang ito, ang daming usap-usapan noong nakita kang nanonood sa ibang game. Lilipat ka daw?”
(“This is just for clarification, because rumors started spreading after you were seen watching a different game. Are you transferring?”)

“Hindi, hindi,” Oheb replied. (“No, no, [I’m not transferring].”)

“Bakit ka nandoon?” (“Why were you there?”)

“Nandoon ako para i-support yung old team ko, Blacklist, kasi pasok sila sa semifinals n’on so nanood ako ng laban nila para suportahan sila. Family ko yon, family!”
(“I was there to support my old team, Blacklist, because they made it to the semifinals so I watched their match as a gesture of support. They’re my family!”)
