Nike LeBron XXIII: The Journey to Forever King

For nearly 25 years, LeBron James has built a deep and strong partnership with Nike. They push the limits of innovation and design to elevate their performance, inspiring the next generation of athletes worldwide.

The Swoosh unveiled the Nike LeBron XXIII in October 2025, featuring game-changing technology and unmatched storytelling that highlight his career achievements. 

The King’s latest signature shoe features new technologies that have never been seen in the LeBron signature line, including the full-length ZoomX drop-in midsole and a new Crown Containment System. 

The ZoomX foam is made of Nike’s most responsive foam that delivers superior cushioning and court feel, while the Crown Containment System provides stability, lockdown, and twitchy responsiveness for explosive movements.

In addition, a carbon fiber shank offers enhanced support for power and speed, and a multi-directional traction pattern for improved grip. To finish the detail, a lightweight engineered upper and a soft interior lining give outstanding comfort and breathability.

LeBron’s journey to Forever King unfolds through 23 stories that inspire a legacy, each with unique colorways that represent his iconic career milestones. Here are some of our favorite colorways: 

Uncharted:

Honoring greatness and longevity by being the only NBA player to score 40,000 career points, featuring a repeating diamond graphic that symbolizes the historic milestone. His signature gold color floods the shoe, while an iridescent gold finish elevates the design, commemorating both the sneaker and the moment.

Miami Twice:

Inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of Ocean Drive, the sneaker features a repetitive palm tree pattern and a distinct Miami art deco styling that nods to the city’s aesthetic. The reverse swoosh coming from the LeBron X, the sneaker that he rocked during his back-to-back NBA titles and Finals MVPs with the Miami Heat back in 2012 & 2013.

The Chosen One and The One Who Chose:

A mismatched sneaker commemorating him and his son, Bronny, for becoming the first-ever father & son duo in the NBA to play on the same team. Pairing a vivid purple left shoe with a metallic gold right shoe, “1 Who Chose” and “Chosen 1” appear on the heels that nod to the duo and LeBron’s crown emblem, scattered throughout the shoe.

Best in Class:

As one of the most anticipated high school prospects in basketball history, LeBron was selected as the No. 1 pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers from one of the NBA’s best draft classes at Madison Square Garden in New York. The all-red colorway was inspired by that legendary draft night, along with his red Cavs hat and his worn all-white suit. The sneaker features a repeating NYC skyline pattern, a crown logo in the upper, and a vibrant gold-accented swoosh. A Big Apple logo on the heel is also featured, which nods to the city. 

From This Point Forward:

A nod for being nicknamed “The Chosen One” and appearing on the main cover of Sports Illustrated as a 17-year-old prospect from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. It served as their first glimpse of a 6’8 high school prodigy from Akron, Ohio, with a combination of size, skill, athleticism, and playmaking abilities. The colorway features a repeating outline of the four horsemen in the upper, representing his four childhood friends. It also features green piping outlines in the midfoot crown, an enshrined gold Swoosh, and a golden Chosen 1 logo.

The LeBron XXIII stands out in key ways due to its new & improved technology compared to previous models.

The ZoomX foam and Crown Containment System are the new features in the sneaker that deliver advanced upgrades; these materials are used for the first time in the LeBron signature line.
