Daily Fantasy Week 25: The End of the ‘25-’26 NBA Season

It is only mere days before the season’s final games are played, but for some teams and match-ups, the playoffs have already started. The end of the NBA season is here!

Match 1: The Oklahoma City Thunder vs the Los Angeles Lakers (April 8, Wednesday)

This would have been an interesting match-up if Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves hadn’t been hurt. Both Luka Doncic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander were in the talks to be this season’s MVP, but Luka’s hamstring injury took him to Europe instead. The Lakers are definitely going to the playoffs, but they will most likely have to do it without Austin Reaves (sidelined for 4-6 weeks) and Luka, who has no timetable for a return yet. The Lakers would have to rely on a 41-year old LeBron James, who is still great, but the defending champs will probably destroy them in this contest.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Vice Captain: LeBron James (if available)

Key picks: Jaxson Hayes, Chet Holmgren, Cason Wallace, Lu Dort, Rui Hachimura, Jake LaRavia

Match 2: The Dallas Mavericks vs the Phoenix Suns (April 9, Thursday)

Cooper Flagg has just been brilliant recently, and he has reclaimed the top spot in the Rookie of the Year race. He just dropped 45 points on the Lakers, leading the Mavericks to a hard-fought yet well-earned 12-point victory. It is unfortunate that the Mavericks have been plagued by a lot of issues over the season, but they have Cooper Flagg, who is definitely the franchise’s glimmer of hope. The Suns, however, are headed to the playoffs, but if they don’t get themselves together, Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers are going to eliminate them in the play-in. They have to be more consistent to stand a chance against the juggernauts in the western conference.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Cooper Flagg

Vice Captain: Devin Booker

Key picks: Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Mark Williams, PJ Washington, Brandon WIlliams, Naji Marshall

Match 3: The Toronto Raptors vs the New York Knicks (April 11, Saturday)

The Raptors are currently 6th in the eastern conference, but they might head to the play-in if they are not careful. They must win all of their remaining games if they want to avoid the play-in, because the Sixers, the Magic, and the Hornets are just a whisper behind. Scottie Barnes has not been consistent recently, and they might lose big-time to the New York Knicks, who won 7 of their last 10 outings.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Jalen Brunson

Vice Captain: Karl Anthony-Towns

Key picks: OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges, RJ Barrett, Brandon Ingram, Scottie Barnes

Match 4: The Denver Nuggets vs the San Antonio Spurs (April 13, Monday)

Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama had an insane MVP duel in their previous match with the Joker winning the game for Denver. The Spurs have a losing record (1-2) against the Nuggets in the season, and this last match of the regular season (for both teams) should be an exciting watch, provided that Victor Wembanyama shows up. The Alien just left the game against Embiid and the Sixers due to a left rib contusion, and the entire San Antonio faithful are hoping that he comes back in time for the playoffs, at the very least. Wemby needs to play for 20 minutes of a single game before the season ends for him to be considered in the MVP race, and it would definitely suck if he is not able to meet the minimum game requirement. Wemby is also a frontrunner for the defensive player of the year award. For now, Jokic and the OKC Thunder’s SGA are the MVP favorites.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Nikola Jokic

Vice Captain: Stephon Castle

Key picks: Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, De’Aaron Fox, Devin Vassell, Luke Kornet, Cam Johnson
