Game 7. Again.

The Detroit Pistons win game 6 against the Cleveland Cavaliers to tie the series 3-3. Who will win game 7 (again?) and go to the eastern conference finals to face the New York Knicks?

Cade Cunningham finally had some help. Jalen Duren exploded and finally looked like the Duren of the regular season. Paul Reed and Daniss Jenkins had valuable contributions. It seems that the Pistons are finally, for the first time in this playoffs, looking like the number one seed.

The Detroit defense yielded 20 turnovers. They also shot better from the three-point line.

The Cavaliers have a problem–they can’t seem to take care of the ball. James Harden alone had 8 turnovers. They bricked a lot of threes, only shooting 34%. The Cavs have to figure out a way to get some points from anyone not named Mitchell or Harden, like what the Pistons did. Dean Wade and Max Strus have to contribute.

It would be interesting to see how the Cavaliers adjust their inside play–Paul Reed and Jalen Duren were dominant inside even with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley there.

The Pistons have the homecourt advantage, and they also have the momentum going into this winner-take-all game. The Cavaliers should not be underestimated, as they won game 7 of the previous match-up.

Game 7 will be on May 18, Monday, 8:00AM.
