What’s Next For Sneaker Free Agent Janti Miller?
Janti Miller has been one of the most exciting players in the college hoops scene in recent years. After his unforgettable championship run in San Beda, everyone in the basketball community took notice of his transfer to DLSU. While taking his one-year residency, the former NCAA Champion has appeared in the AsiaBasket NSAC Tournament with the green and white threads.
Miller brought out a flexible sneaker rotation during the preseason tournament as he recently rocked the “Flamingo Pink” Harden Vol. 9s against FEU. He also wore the ANTA KAI 1 “Taigi” during his homecoming game at Mendiola and the Mamba Day Kobe 11s versus Mapua at the Blue Eagle Gym.
The 6-foot-4 guard from California confirmed that he is officially a sneaker free agent. Janti stated that he’s been wearing some sneakers exclusively.
“I’m wearing Hardens, KDs, DBooks, Anthony Edwards, I’m wearing like a little bit of all, but the Hardens are my favorite one right now.”
He is also interested to test out the Book 1s and Book 2s, but his current go-to hoop shoes are the Harden Vol. 9s. Here are his thoughts on the Hardens:
“I don’t really like low tops like that, so I like mid-rise. They’re like the perfect mid-rise and comfortable for me to move around and cut a lot. A lot of these shoes are not able for you to cut, so if I cant cut on ’em, I wont wear ’em.”
Miller pointed out that, based on previous conversations, adidas wasn’t interested in signing him, so he is hopeful for a partnership with TITAN due to the brand’s versatility of distributing shoes from multiple companies.
“I think adidas said no to me, so I’m just comfortable with wearing whatever I want, so probably a shoe brand like TITAN,” Janti said when asked who he hopes to sign with
“So right now, I’m looking at TITAN because I see how they shoot Jacob (Cortez), and also you can wear all shoes from all brands, so I like to be versatile with brands.”
Will Janti get signed by TITAN or will he be looking forward to other brands? We’ll find out.
