Team Falcons PH Soar Past Guangzhou Gaming in MSC 2026 Opener

Team Falcons PH wasted no time making a statement, securing a commanding 2-0 sweep over China’s Guangzhou Gaming to kick off the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2026 campaign at the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Paris, France.

After a two-year absence, the Falcons have finally returned to the MSC stage with one goal in mind: capturing the championship title after settling for a runner-up finish in their last appearance.

The Falcons PH now moves one win away from securing a spot in the MSC 2026 Knockout Stage.

In Game 1, Guangzhou took control early against Team Falcons following a bloody first turtle fight that resulted in a 4-1 kill advantage, with Recall’s Nolan picking up a double kill.

However, Team Falcons trimmed the deficit after securing a 1-for-3 trade against Guangzhou during the 7-minute turtle clash.

Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano, playing Brody, erupted for a double kill during the 15-minute base siege, helping Falcons secure the first win of the series against Guangzhou with an impressive 7-2-5 KDA.

Even with Guangzhou taking control of all three early turtle objectives, Falcons kept their momentum rolling in Game 2.

Guangzhou attempted to contest the 9-minute lord objective, but the move backfired as Salic “Hadji” Imam’s Eudora picked off Recall’s Hirara, giving Falcons the opening to secure the lord uncontested.

Falcons finally completed the sweep after David “Flap” Canon’s Sora perfectly executed a Flicker-Windstride combo during the 16-minute midlane inhibitor fight, setting up Michael “Kyle” Sayson’s Harley and Super Marco’s Moskov to secure double kills.

Team Falcons will next face Indonesia’s Team Vitality in the Group Stage, with the winner securing a spot in the Knockout Stage while the loser drops to the lower bracket.
