Team Falcons PH Misses MSC 2026 Grand Finals

Team Falcons PH’s championship run has come to an end after Myanmar’s Yangon Galacticos denied the Filipino squad a spot in the MSC 2026 Grand Finals with a thrilling 3-2 victory.

The defeat officially eliminates the Philippines from title contention, marking the first time since MSC 2021 that no Filipino team will compete in the tournament’s Grand Finals. Team Falcons PH will now battle for third place.

In Game 1, Kaize’s Zhuxin picked up a triple kill during the 4-minute turtle fight against Team Falcons PH to establish a 4-1 kill score and more than 1,500 gold lead.

Ying’s Arlott landed a three-man Final Slash, setting up Hann’s Harith for a maniac as Team Falcons PH failed to contest the 13-minute Lord. The play paved the way for Yangon Galacticos’ unstoppable base siege, leaving Hadji’s Selena as the lone survivor.

Team Falcons bounced back in Game 2, taking control of the early game with a perfect 3-0 kill score over Yangon until the 6-minute pick off against Owgwen’s Belerick.

Yangon seized the momentum after Hann’s Hirara secured a double kill in a mid-lane skirmish at the seven-minute mark, but Team Falcons PH capitalized on Yangon’s delayed response to claim the Lord at the 13-minute mark.

However, Yangon still secured the 2-0 match point after Sanjiii’s Claude picked up a double kill during a 14-minute clash in the bottom lane, giving the team a numbers advantage in the final push with a 5v2 situation against Team Falcons PH.

Game 3 saw a similar aggressive start from Team Falcons PH to dictate the pace over Yangon Galacticos.

Super Marco’s Claude delivered a highlight-worthy performance after surviving a 4-minute ambush in the bottom lane with critically low HP before securing a clutch double kill with Blazing Duet.

Team Falcons PH remained in complete control of the game, dominating the map to establish a 14-2 kill lead and a 11,000-gold advantage beyond the 12-minute mark.

Despite Yangon’s best efforts to hold the line, the Filipino squad found an opening, breached their defenses, and demolished the base after a 13-minute siege to keep their hopes alive at 2-1.

The early game of Game 4 saw both teams trading blows, but Team Falcons found the breakthrough after eliminating four Yangon players in the 7-minute turtle fight, as Super Marco’s Claude answered Blink’s Atlas Fatal Links play with a perfectly timed Blazing Duet counterengage.

Team Falcons PH forced a decisive Game 5 after Yangon failed to contest the 13-minute lord objective, with Hadji’s Zhuxin delivering a flawless 3-0-10 KDA and Super Marco’s Claude posting a dominant 4-0-9 KDA.

The Filipino squad appeared to have control in Game 5, but one decisive moment changed everything as Kaize’s Zhuxin landed a game-winning Maniac during the 18-minute lord clash.

This victory marks Myanmar’s return to an international tournament grand final since the M2 World Championship in 2021.

Meanwhile, Team Falcons PH will take on ONIC ID in the battle for third place at MSC 2026 on August 1, with both teams aiming for a podium finish.
