Team Falcons PH Falls to Aurora Gaming in GOTF Quarterfinals

Team Falcons PH bowed out of the Games of the Future (GOTF) MLBB tournament after suffering a 1-2 defeat to Türkiye’s Aurora Gaming in the Quarterfinals in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Fresh off a fourth-place finish at MSC 2026, the Philippines’ lone representative in the GOTF endured another painful exit, falling one step short of the semifinals and another opportunity to bring the Philippines closer to an international championship run.

In the opening game of the series, Aurora Gaming backed Team Falcons PH into a corner, with Tienzy’s Harley exploding for a triple kill during the final base siege to take the first win.

In Game 2, Team Falcons PH bounced back against Aurora Gaming, controlling the early game after securing all three turtles. However, Rosa’s Valentina provided space with a copied Fatal Links play that fended off Falcons to defend the top lane inhibitor turret during the 8-minute clash.

Even with Pagu’s clutch 3-man Minoan Fury knock-up on Minotaur, the Turkish squad could not stop Team Falcons PH’s momentum as the Filipino squad stormed the base in just 10 minutes and 41 seconds to tie the series at 1-1.

Game 3 became a hard-fought 26-minute thriller as both teams refused to back down. The Turkish squad finally found the breakthrough during the 25-minute Lord dance, taking down Super Marco’s Melissa and Hadji’s Rafaela to seize control.

With a 5v3 advantage, Aurora sealed the series with a decisive final push, securing the final Lord uncontested before Tienzy’s Harley delivered a double kill to finish off Falcons.

Team Falcons PH concluded its Games of the Future 2026 campaign with a 5th–8th place finish, taking home a $31,500 (approximately ₱1.9 million) prize.

With MSC 2026 and GOTF behind them, Team Falcons PH will now turn its focus to MPL Philippines Season 18 on August 21, aiming to build on last season’s runner-up finish.
