PPA Tour Asia Heads to Manila in Early 2027

The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour Asia is coming to the Philippines for the first time, with two events scheduled at Helios Beta in Bridgetowne, Pasig City, early next year.

The PPA Asia 125 opens the Manila swing in January 2027, followed by the PPA Asia 500 Manila Open in February.

Both events will be played at Helios Beta, a 14-court venue built to international tournament specifications.

Exact dates, ticketing details, and the list of participating players have yet to be announced.

Two Tiers, One Pathway

The two Manila events sit on different levels of the PPA Asia circuit.

The PPA Asia 125 serves as a regional event for emerging talent and rising professionals. It gives Filipino players a chance to earn PPA ranking points at home. The gold medalist takes 125 points, silver earns 100, bronze earns 75, and players who finish further down the draw earn fewer points.

Strong finishes in the January event also open a path into the PPA Asia 500 Manila Open the following month.

The Manila Open is the marquee event of the two. It will feature international professionals alongside qualified local players.

Helios Beta Ahead of the Main Center

Helios Beta is the early version of the Helios Pickleball Center, the larger facility rising in Robinsons Land Corporation’s Bridgetowne development. Kosmas Athletic Ventures Corporation (KAVC) is developing both venues.

The Helios Pickleball Center will open in 2028, offering 25 tournament-grade courts and a championship center court that seats 2,000 spectators. This facility will host events for the PPA and Major League Pickleball (MLP).

KAVC signed a partnership in July with Johns Design and Consulting, the US-based firm co-founded by pros Ben Johns and Collin Johns. The firm handles technical consulting, architectural design, and facility planning for the project.

KAVC has said the Pasig complex will serve as the flagship Helios facility, with similar centers planned in other parts of the country.

In the coming weeks, organizers will announce details about the PPA Asia 125 and PPA Asia 500 Manila Open, including schedules, registration, and ticketing.
