KarlTzy Reveals Visa Issues Behind SIBOL MLBB CAEC 2026 Absence
Team Liquid PH jungler Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno revealed that the SIBOL MLBB team will not be able to participate in the China-ASEAN Esports Competition (CAEC) 2026 due to visa-related delays.
In a series of updates through his Instagram channel, KarlTzy initially shared that the team’s visas would not be processed in time for the tournament, which is scheduled from November 6 to 8.
“Nacancel ‘yung tournament sa China which is ‘yung CAEC ‘di daw aabot sa tournament date ‘yung visa,” KarlTzy wrote.
However, the six-time MPL Philippines champion later clarified that the competition itself would push through as scheduled, with only the Philippine national team unable to make the trip.
“Di pala cancel guys kami lang pala ‘yung di lilipad,” he added.
Team Liquid PH mid laner Alston “Sanji” Pabico also confirmed the development through his Instagram channel last October 30 evening.
“GG guys wala kami sa CAEC,” Sanji wrote.
Team Liquid PH secured the Philippines’ slot in the CAEC 2026 after defeating MDL squad Twisted Minds Rough World Era, 3-1, in the tournament’s qualifiers last October 13.
The development marks a setback for the Philippine squad, which will now miss its scheduled international appearance in Nanning, China due to visa-processing issues.
As of writing, SIBOL has yet to release an official statement regarding the matter.
This remains a developing story.
