BREAKING: Janti Miller to Join De La Salle University

Janti Miller is set to transfer to De La Salle University for UAAP men’s basketball, he officially announced on his social media account.

Miller, who won a championship with San Beda in NCAA Season 101, is expected to sit out 2026 to complete residency, then suit up beginning the 2027 season. He comes in at a time where La Salle will need firepower following the departure of Jacob Cortez, Mason Amos, Jcee Macalalag, and team captain Earl Abadam.

The 6-foot-4 Miller, 22, will have two years of UAAP eligibility in green and white after doing residency. He averaged 19.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists a game as a Red Lion, establishing himself as one of the best – if not the very best – shot creators in Philippine college basketball.

His final choice came down between DLSU and University of the Philippines, the two teams who have competed in the last three UAAP men’s basketball finals. The Ateneo Blue Eagles were also in the mix early, while FEU expressed interest built on the respect Miller and head coach Sean Chambers have in each other.

Ultimately Miller chose La Salle because, according to a source, he felt the university gave him the best fit, culture-wise, to succeed as a student and varsity player.

Miller adds to the trend of former San Beda championship to become Green Archers, preceded by Evan Nelle and Jacob Cortez, who both went on to win UAAP titles with La Salle.
