Cruz-Dumont, Small-Martin Declare for 2025 PBA Draft
Canadian-born guards Jack Cruz-Dumont and Kascius Small-Martin have officially declared for the 2025 PBA Draft, their agent PJ Pilares of Titan Management Group (TMG) confirmed Friday.
The announcement came on the same day both players participated in their Pro Day workouts in Quezon City. The event was attended by media and PBA team representatives, providing a platform for the two Fil-foreign prospects to display their skills ahead of the league’s annual draft.
Jack Cruz-Dumont recently competed in his first professional season in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) with the Abra Weavers. Before turning pro, he served as team captain for the UE Red Warriors in the UAAP and delivered a 15-point, 4-assist, 4-rebound performance in his final collegiate appearance. Prior to moving to the Philippines, Cruz-Dumont spent three seasons with the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds, where he developed under Canada’s U SPORTS system.
Kascius Small-Martin followed a different path, building his resume at Brock University where he earned OUA All-Rookie and All-Star honors. He averaged close to nine points per game in his collegiate career, with standout seasons in 2019–20 and 2021–22. Following university, he played professionally in Taiwan and Macau before joining the Abra Weavers in early 2025. His international experience and offensive versatility have made him one of the more experienced guard prospects in this year’s draft class.
During Friday’s Pro Day, both players went through individual drills and shooting sequences.
With the PBA Draft Combine and interviews scheduled in the coming weeks, Cruz-Dumont and Small-Martin will continue training in Manila under the guidance of TMG. Both are expected to generate interest from teams in need of smart, adaptable backcourt depth.
Their inclusion adds further depth to what is shaping up to be a competitive draft class.
