Dre Miller: Legacy in Motion

For Dre Miller, basketball isn’t just a sport. It’s also a story he was born into.

The Arellano Chiefs’ second-year point guard grew up in Olongapo City, surrounded by the rhythm of the game and the legacy of greatness. As the son of PBA legend Willie Miller, expectations could’ve easily been a burden, but Dre treats them like motivation.

“I got into basketball through my dad,” he says. “He was a professional here, but he never pushed me. I just naturally fell in love with it.”

Now wearing Arellano’s colors, Dre is carving his own path with grit, humor, and heart. Coming off a tough knee injury, he calls simply being able to play in the NCAA his proudest moment so far — proof of quiet resilience and deep gratitude.

Before games, he plugs in his music and locks in, keeping things cool and composed. Off the court, he’s got the same easy charm: a laid-back guy who might just be won over by a good joke… or a mango shake.
