Kyle Tolentino joins 2025 PBA Draft applicants list

Kyle Tolentino has officially joined the list of applicants for the 2025 PBA Draft, according to his agent Charlie Dy of VP Global Management. The 21-year-old guard is taking the next step in his basketball journey after recent stints in the MPBL and NCAA.

Tolentino made headlines earlier this year when he opted to stay with the South Cotabato Warriors in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League following the expiration of his NCAA eligibility with the Letran Knights. His decision was inspired by the desire to gain more playing time and continue developing in a competitive environment. During his MPBL run, Tolentino played a key role on both ends of the floor and earned praise for his shooting and defensive energy.

Prior to his MPBL campaign, Tolentino was part of the Letran Knights squad that captured back-to-back NCAA championships. Known for his perimeter play and athleticism, he gained valuable experience competing in high-pressure collegiate games.

With his draft application now filed, Kyle Tolentino is expected to draw interest from PBA teams looking for young talent with proven pedigree and upside. Standing at 6-foot-3 and playing primarily as a wing, he brings size, range, and a competitive edge. His family background in basketball — being the son of coach Elvis Tolentino and grandson of the late coach Ato Tolentino — adds further depth to his profile.

The 2025 PBA Draft class is shaping up to be competitive, and Tolentino’s inclusion adds another layer of intrigue. He will now prepare for the draft combine and workouts, where teams will get a closer look at his skills and readiness for the next level.
