Sanford: ‘Sobrang Inaasam Ko Talaga Ito’

“SOBRANG INAASAM KO TALAGA ITO,” Sanford told ALL-STAR right after winning a gold medal at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 2025). The SIBOL MLBB Men’s team roared through the prelims and knockouts with a clean 8-0 sweep of Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, and Singapore, and then ended their campaign with a commanding 4-0 win over Malaysia in the grand finals.

For Sanford, winning gold at the SEA Games 2025 isn’t just another achievement.

“This is a milestone for me. Iba kapag nirepresent mo ang bansa kaysa kung kumukuha ka ng achievements para sa sarili mo. Maraming pangalang nakataya, maraming nakasubaybay, at sobrang saya ko na naging part ako ng historic 4-peat gold medalist ng SIBOL,” he said.

He dedicated the victory to more than just the medal itself.

“Inaalay ko itong gold medal sa mga Ka-Sixth Man namin, at syempre para sa sarili ko. May mga struggles din na nangyari sa akin at sobrang inaasam ko talaga ito na maging gold medalist sa SEA Games. Para sa pamilya ko rin ito at sa mga friends na naniniwala sa akin.”
