The Wisdom of Tots and Jia in Creamline’s PVL Journey

As they push through the PVL On Tour and contend in the battle for third, there is a wisdom that is audible even when bodies are absent on the court: Tots Carlos on the mend and Jia Morado traveling with ALAS Pilipinas, both in the flesh and supporting the team from warmup until the fifth set as Creamline chases better days ahead.

Tots’ Patience and Presence

Tots Carlos has not been on the scoreboard lately due to injury, but her voice and company are fixtures behind the bench. When asked how it feels to support her teammates while waiting to return, she said, “syempre, nakakamiss padin maglaro but I’m being as patient as I can with my recovery.”

Those words carry a clear, human honesty and a choice to trust the process. She isn’t only there between sets to clap; she sits in gathering and helps keep the team culture intact.

“Di naman dahil hindi kami naglalaro, hindi kami pumupunta sa training. We are almost always together padin all the time.”

That togetherness is a steadying force for a squad chasing better days ahead in a tight PVL battle for third.

Being sidelined has broadened what leadership means for Carlos. Her recovery is not a single metric. She said, “I’m still getting all the emotional, mental, spritual.. all kinds of support I can get! Right now, I can’t quantify my recovery status but we’re working to get back as quickly as we can.”

Those sentences show a player who measures progress in resilience and community as much as in scans and rehab logs. Her patience rubs off on the hardcourt; teammates carry themselves differently knowing someone who belongs to their rotation is choosing to stand with them this season. Throughout matches she remains audible, cheering from warmup through the fifth set, and folding that energy into the team’s momentum.

Jia’s System-First Guidance

Jia Morado has recently been in airports and foreign gyms, but distance has not dulled her role in shaping the team’s moves. When asked whether she still gives advice while away, she answered, “Of course, there are other ways to watch and support even if I’m away, and I talk to them often.” That “talk” acts like a tether — tactical nudges, calming notes after tough phases, and extra eyes on rhythm from someone who knows the system by heart.

Her take on the team’s PVL On Tour run is revealing:

“Tiwala kami na even if we’re not on the floor ni Tots, iyong sistema namin sa Creamline can make us win. That’s the reason why we have a pool of players sa team, para we have options, but we all fall under one system.”

Those words frame the team’s identity: not a one-woman show but a pattern of play and mutual trust.

When schedules permit, her voice is part of the sideline chorus alongside Tots and other teammates, a reminder that wisdom travels with the team no matter the distance. Jia’s confidence in the system proves that the championship history of Creamline is a product of shared work rather than individual brilliance.

Scores record points and brackets track placement, but the real story of Creamline’s PVL On Tour season is being written in how the group holds together: a rehabilitating Tots offering steady presence, a traveling Jia delivering crisp counsel, and teammates turning those small acts into sustained belief.

That combined wisdom is what will carry them through the PVL battle for third and toward the better days ahead they promise each other.
