Hollis-Jefferson Leads Free Nationwide Clinics for Filipino Youth

Former NBA player and PBA star Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is hitting the road with TNT Tropang 5G to launch “RHJ On Tour,” a free basketball clinic aimed at developing the next generation of Filipino hoopers.

The grassroots program, which kicked off June 7 in Quezon City, will run through the end of July with weekend stops across Metro Manila and select provinces. Open to young players nationwide, the clinic gives aspiring athletes a chance to learn directly from Hollis-Jefferson, a three-time PBA Best Import and veteran of six NBA seasons.

“This is something truly special for me,” said Hollis-Jefferson. “I’ve become Filipino at heart playing for Tropang 5G, and I see this tour as a way to give back and help kids chase their dreams.”

Joining RHJ in the clinic series are fellow TNT stars and coaches including Jayson Castro, Ranidel de Ocampo, Bong Ravena, and team manager Jojo Lastimosa. Despite currently recovering from injury, Castro — one of the PBA’s most decorated players — said he wouldn’t miss the chance to support young talent.

“We do what we do because of our KaTropas,” Castro said. “We want to reach as many kids as possible and help them grow their love for the game.”

The initiative is part of TNT and Smart Communications’ broader push to support youth basketball, particularly as TNT celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The program also highlights the brand’s 5G network, which aims to keep young athletes connected to training tools, basketball content, and online communities.

“This is how we bring more fun and inspiration to our subscribers,” said Lloyd R. Manaloto, FVP for Brand Marketing at Smart. “Basketball is in our DNA, and we’re excited to discover and support future stars.”
