UST WBT Gears Up with World Balance for UAAP Season 88
The University of Santo Tomas Women’s Basketball Team isn’t just returning for UAAP Season 88 — they’re leveling up. Backed by local sportswear brand World Balance as their official outfitter, the Growling Tigresses are lacing up with a renewed sense of purpose and performance.
This partnership is more than just gear. It’s a nod to grit, unity, and shared belief. As host school of Season 88, UST carries the added weight of representing the league’s ideals of resilience, spirit, and sportsmanship. For the Tigresses, that responsibility is both a challenge and an honor.
“Season 88 is our chance to show that UST WBT is stronger, faster, and hungrier than ever,” said Head Coach Haydee Ong. “World Balance gives us that extra edge from training to game day.”

The team will be wearing custom high-performance apparel tailored to the demands of the UAAP season. Designed for speed and durability, the new kit reflects the Tigresses’ identity — fast-paced, fierce, and battle-tested.
“This collaboration is about standing behind our athletes and giving them what they need to perform at their best,” said World Balance Chairman and CEO Barnaby Chong. “It’s about building their confidence, supporting their hard work, and being part of their journey this season.”
The values of the partnership run deep. For Father Rodel, Director of UST’s Institute of Physical Education and Athletics, it’s a natural fit. “World Balance understands the heart of UST — tradition, excellence, and teamwork. This partnership is proof of what can happen when shared values come together for a common goal.”

At the core of both UST’s and World Balance’s campaigns is belief. The Tigresses’ mantra, Believe, Trust, Surrender, aligns with the brand’s Believe We Can movement—an outlook rooted in pushing limits and staying grounded in purpose.
As the season gets underway, expect the Tigresses to play with urgency, heart, and the roar of España behind them. And as they step onto the court in new threads, it’s clear: this isn’t just a team showing up. This is a team ready to make noise.
