From Lanes to Lotions: Team Liquid PH’s Secret Skincare Go-tos Revealed

The contents of your shopping cart reveal a lot about your personality and lifestyle. When ALL-STAR accompanied Team Liquid Philippines to Watsons, a top retailer of health and wellness products, we got a glimpse of the players’ private quirks and priorities, based on what they put inside their shopping carts. 

The boys were given P2,000 to spend at the store. Soon, the shopping became a contest for who gets to spend the nearest amount to P2,000 without overspending or underspending. But what they put in the cart surprised us. Most of the players had at least 8 items in their cart. 

Gold laner BennyQt had a facial cleanser, a toner, a moisturizer, and sunblock. He also revealed his skincare routine to ALL-STAR: First, he uses Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser on his face, then pats it dry with facial tissue. He then applies Thayers Facial Toner with cotton pads, and air dries his face. After that, he uses Celeteque Facial Moisturizer, letting the product air dry on his skin. Finally, he applies Belo Sunexpert Sunscreen to protect his skin from sun damage and aging.

Meanwhile, Ishkael filled his cart with a tube of Celeteque Hydration Facial Wash, three tubes of Belo Sunscreen, a pair of Gillette Razors, a piece of loofah, dental floss, and Old Spice deodorant. 

And then we bumped into Sanji, wandering around Watsons with a satisfied look on his face. He smiled when he saw us coming and then showed off his haul of skincare items: a 330-ml tube of Vaseline Healthy Bright Gluta-Hya Serum Burst UV Lotion and one piece of ChapStick. The rest of his haul was bathroom essentials such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and other items.

KarlTzy was finished shopping within five minutes. His basket only had two items: A tube of Colgate toothpaste and a little tub of Laneige Facial Moisturizer.

Jeymz picked up a tube of Cosrx Snail Mucin Gel Cleanser, and a tube of Cosrx Sunscreen for his face. For his body, he picked up a basic Vaseline lotion. We also spied a can of Lysol Disinfectant Spray – Citrus Meadow Scent in Jeymz’s cart. “It’s for my car,” he laughed. 

Jaypee’s basket contained Cosrx Cleanser, Tresemme Conditioner, and other products from Korea. 

When we looked at  Coach TicTac’s basket, it was filled with headbands, hair ties, cotton buds, shampoo, and soap—it looked like the regular contents of a parent’s supermarket list.
