Daily Fantasy Week 19: Race to the Bottom

It is almost inherent in the NBA season that some teams are unable to win. The 2026 NBA Draft promises to be a strong one, and while some teams jockey for playoff seeding, some teams are crashing out for a chance at lottery picks.

Match 1: The Sacramento Kings vs the Dallas Mavericks (February 26)

The Sacramento Kings, the worst team in the league, just lost 15 straight games. Good thing they just won against the Grizzlies and snapped that historically bad streak. Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, and De’Andre Hunter are all gone for the season. The Dallas Mavericks are confused, and are also probably semi-tanking. Cooper Flagg is hurt, and Kyrie is probably not coming back soon.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Demar DeRozan

Vice Captain: P.J. Washington

Key picks: Russell Westbrook; Naji Marshall; Keegan Murray; Max Christie, Khris Middleton

Match 2: The Charlotte Hornets vs the Indiana Pacers (February 26)

The Hornets are sort of having a midseason resurgence, but they lost two straight games against the Rockets and the Cavs, both stronger teams. Fortunately, they ran into the tanking Wizards and got the win. They are now set to play the Indiana Pacers this week, whose entire roster is almost depleted due to injuries. The Hornets are taking the dub.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: LaMelo Ball

Vice Captain: Kon Knueppel

Key picks: Miles Bridges, Coby White, Brandon Miller, Jarace Walker, Ivica Zubac

Match 3: The Washington Wizards vs the Atlanta Hawks (February 26)

Trae Young is not suiting up anytime soon for the Wizards. Anthony Davis too. The Hawks are at least a bit more competitive, but you never know. Jonathan Kuminga is not yet playing. The Hawks are most likely winning this contest.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Jalen Johnson

Vice Captain: Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Key picks: Kyshawn George, Bilal Coulibaly, CJ McCollum, Zaccharie Risacher

Match 4: The New Orleans Pelicans vs the Utah Jazz

This contest between two bottom-dwellers could confusingly be an exciting one. The Jazz are missing some key players: Keyonte George, Walker Kessler, Jusuf Nurkic, and Jaren Jackson Jr. The Pelicans are missing Trey Murphy III. Be sure to get those bench players into your line-ups.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Lauri Markkanen

Vice Captain: Zion Williamson

Key picks: Ace Bailey, Kyle Filipowski, Isaiah Collier, Saddiq Bey, Jordan Poole
