BREAKING: H2W0 Leaves Smart Omega

John Paul Salonga, aka H2W0, has been released from Smart Omega.

In a Facebook post, Smart Omega bid goodbye to its MDL jungler:

“𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔, H2WO!

“We are truly honored to have you! You gave it your all, now it’s time for what’s next.

A new chapter begins, carry the grind, carry the glory.”

H2WO rose through the ranks alongside Renejay and Yawi, starting with Nexplay (formerly Nexplay Solid) in MPL PH Season 6 (late 2020). He steadily became a key jungler and in‑game leader, known for his calm demeanor and high-level decision-making, notably earning the Razer Gold Sportsmanship Award during a leaner period for Nexplay EVOS.

One of his standout moments came in Season 7 when he and Renejay executed a memorable “sneaky backdoor” play securing a crucial win for the squad. Despite personal growth and public acclaim, Nexplay parted ways with him in February 2023, marking the end of an era for the team.

Resurgence with RSG and Omega

Following his exit from Nexplay, H2WO transferred to RSG PH for Season 11 (February 2023). His performance there, including a sportsmanship award and solid team contribution, reaffirmed his value in the league. After an off-season and motivated by the energy of the M5 World Championship, he joined Smart Omega for MPL PH Season 13 in early 2024 as part of the roster reboot alongside Exort. His return to the MPL stage was marked by renewed confidence and endorsement from veterans like Ribo, showcasing his resilience and continued commitment to excellence.

Whispers of a Reunion

With H2WO’s and Renejay’s departures from their respective teams, rumors of a “Big 3” reunion have resurfaced within the MPL community. While nothing is confirmed, fans have been speculating online about a potential comeback either under a new banner or as part of an ambitious franchise rebuild.

The trio, once known for their explosive chemistry and unfiltered charisma, redefined the tone of local MLBB content and gameplay. Whether it’s nostalgia or something more concrete, the possibility of the Big Three reuniting has ignited a fresh wave of excitement among longtime supporters.

But as of this writing, no confirmation from Renejay’s or H2WO’s camps has surfaced on whether they will transfer to another team or retire from esports.
