How to Watch Top Filipino Cue Artists in World Pool Championship

Fans of billiards are in for a treat as the prestigious World Pool Championship returns from July 21 to 26, and Filipino viewers can catch all the action live on Cignal TV.

The event, which gathers the top 128 nineball Pool players from around the globe, will be broadcast live on One Sports+ and Pilipinas Live, with replays and catch-up viewing available on One Sports.

Held at the iconic Green Halls in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, this year’s tournament promises world-class action as top Filipino cue masters Johann Chua, Carlo Biado, and Rubilen Amit lead a strong Philippine delegation. Chua reached the semifinals last year, while Biado aims to reclaim the title he won in 2017. They will be joined by James Aranas, Bernie Regalario, Jefrey Roda, Patric Gonzales, and AJ Manas, all gunning for the $250,000 top prize.

Viewers can expect thrilling matches as the Filipinos go up against the sport’s biggest names, including defending champion Fedor Gorst, Joshua Filler, Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, Jayson Shaw, Aloysius Yapp, brothers Ko Pin Yi and Ko Ping Chung, and American legend Shane Van Boening.

The tournament is part of Saudi Arabia’s growing sports landscape. Naif Al-jawini, President of the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation, praised the country’s commitment to hosting elite competitions, while Matchroom Multi-Sport CEO Emily Frazer expressed excitement over continuing to grow the sport in the region.
