LOOK: Filipino Power on Full Display at MSC Gala of the Esports World Cup

The Philippines is undoubtedly the strongest in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). And if the MSC gala is any indicator, Filipino power is palpable at the event.

Filipino esports athletes stole the spotlight at the MSC Gala of the Esports World Cup on July 1, with world champions Falcons AP Bren and Team Liquid Philippines (formerly ECHO) representing the country. During a livestreaming of the Mobile Legends Esports page on Facebook, Falcons AP Bren Exp Laner FlapTzy could be seen with dozens of other esports players and international casters asking for a selfie with him.

Also during the gala, 12 Filipino coaches were present, representing different countries for the much anticipated tournament, with a historic prize pool of $3 million, the largest ever in MLBB esports. Filipinos have become in demand in MLBB esports around the world, owing to their high level of mechanics, skill, discipline, and decision-making when it comes to playing MLBB. According to MOONTON Games, there are currently 41 Filipino imports spread across the different MLBB regions around the world, the highest number of esports imports from any country.
