PUMA, Philippine Men’s National Football Team announce partnership

PUMA announced on Thursday, May 2 that it has entered a four-year collaboration with the Philippine Men’s National Football Team (PMNFT) as the global sports outfitter aims to support the growth of the sport in the Philippines, starting with providing the official kits for the country’s national athletes.

The efforts of the company began with their PFF Fan Zone during the football squad’s recent home game against Iraq in March at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. Spectators had the unique opportunity to put on PUMA cleats and test their performance on a mini turf in addition to watching a performance by football frestyler Phillip Warren Gertsson.

“We at PUMA are thrilled to partner with the Philippine Men’s National Football Team. With our history of supplying uniforms for world-class football clubs and national teams, we are excited to add the Philippines to our roster. The talent within the PMNFT is undeniable, and we look forward to supporting them for the next few years,” said PUMA Philippines Country Manager, Paolo Misa.

“We want to not only be the best in our region, we also want to be a force in Asia, and eventually a player on the world stage. It’s vital that we have partners that share our long-term vision and our deep passion for football,” said, Freddy Gonzalez the PMNFT’s manager.

The country’s football representatives in the international scene desire to win the 2024 ASEAN Championship while maintaining their ambition of qualifying for the next FIFA World Cup in 2026.

The sports brand also hopes to help develop passion for the game in the Philippines’ youth level.
