Daily Fantasy Week 6: The Bad Boys Pistons are Back

The Pistons win streak is heating up the Motor City. Detroit basketball is exciting again, and fans are eager to find out how long Cade and company can keep it white hot.

Match 1: The Orlando Magic at the Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons have won 13 straight games. This week, they will play the Orlando Magic and the Miami Heat. The Heat would probably pose more of a threat compared to the Magic, more so when Paolo Banchero is likely to be out because of an injury. The Pistons are currently ranked as the league’s second-best defense, and with Cade Cunningham leading the offense, the team looks formidable indeed.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Cade Cunningham

Vice Captain: Jalen Duren

Key picks for the Orlando Magic: Franz Wagner, Tobias Harris, Ausar Thompson

Key picks for Miami Heat: Bam Adebayo, Norman Powell, Tyler Herro

Match 2: The Los Angeles Clippers at the Los Angeles Lakers

Deandre Ayton is out, and will the King’s return be enough to deal with the Clippers’ frontcourt and scoring? The match-up promises heavy starpower as Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, and LeBron James may be on the floor all at the same time. The Lakers seem to be the more balanced team, yet offensively, the match could go 50-50. The Zubac and Collins frontcourt could be great against the Lakers, but aside from Harden and Kawhi, the Clippers seem to be lacking in the scoring department.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Luka Doncic

Vice Captain: James Harden; Austin Reaves

Key picks: LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Ivica Zubac

Match 3: The Indiana Pacers at the Toronto Raptors

The Raptors are nursing a streak of their own–they have won their last 8 games. It seems that they can extend the win-streak to 10, as they would be playing two cellar-dwelling teams–the Pacers and the Hornets. It would be a lot of fun if they could extend their streak until they meet the Pistons.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Pascal Siakam

Vice Captain: Scottie Barnes

Key picks: Bennedict Mathurin, Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl

Match 4: The San Antonio Spurs at the Denver Nuggets

No Victor Wembanyama, no Stephon Castle, no Dylan Harper, yet somehow, the Spurs are still at the 5th spot of a competitive Western Conference. They just lost to the Suns, but their true test will come when they face Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. Can the Spurs stay competitive, or will they slide down the standings?

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Nikola Jokic

Vice Captain: Jamal Murray

Key picks: D’Aaron Fox, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson

BONUS MATCH: The Dallas Mavericks at the Los Angeles Lakers

A lot of eyes will be on this contest as Luka and the Lakers host his former team, the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs are in a pretty bad place right now at the bottom of the Western Conference, and it is almost a given that the Lakers will win this match-up. It will also be nice to see Cooper Flagg, who is the best player on a Mavs team with no Kyrie and AD, play against fellow #1 pick LeBron James.

Captain: Luka Doncic

Vice Captain: Cooper Flagg

Key picks: Austin Reaves, LeBron James, PJ Washington, Max Christie
