The Knicks endured an 18-point 6-rebound performance from Victor Wembanyama. The Spurs were coming from a victory against the unstoppable Oklahoma City Thunder, but their momentum did not matter.
The Knicks had 7 players scoring in double digits, including 4 guards and 2 wing players–OG Anunoby with 28, Jalen Brunson with 25, Jordan Clarkson with 15, Tyler Kolek with 14, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges with 11, and Towns with 16. Mitchell Robinson also crashed the boards with 15 rebounds.
The Knicks were simply the better team–the Spurs played well but the Knicks’ guards proved too potent.
