It is only the first round of the playoffs, yet there is no shortage of hype and excitement as three of the four match-ups will be decided through a game 7.
Match 1: The Cleveland Cavaliers vs the Toronto Raptors
The ending of Game 6 features RJ Barrett with an insane game-winner that clanged, went all the way up the ceiling, then went down and swooshed. Everyone in the arena gasped collectively, and the Cavaliers just failed to clinch the series. James Harden and his playoff woes continue to be the loudest narrative, but credit must be given to a scrappy Toronto squad.

Match 2: The Detroit Pistons vs the Orlando Magic
At one point, the Orlando Magic were up 3-1, and were very close to a first round upset of the east’s top seed. The Magic lost 2 games on account of Cade being an insane scorer, and who can forget the Lebronesque and Carmeloesque duel between him and Paolo Banchero in Game 5. If Cade cannot find help where it usually is (ahem, Jalen Duren), then the Orlando Magic could complete the upset.

Match 3: The Boston Celtics vs the Philadelphia 76ers
The Celtics shot a horrible 29% from 3 (12/41) in game 6, and they will lose game 7 if they don’t shoot better. Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey could play one on one, and the 76ers have the edge on the inside. The 76ers have now won 2 straight, and it will be extra challenging for Boston to stem the momentum, even if the game will be at the Garden.
