DLSZ Standout Maco Dabao Makes College Decision

De La Salle Zobel high school star Maco Dabao has decided to make the next step in his basketball career, choosing to commit to the San Beda Red Lions.

The 5-foot-11 guard averaged 17.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.5 steals a contest in 14 elimination round games for La Salle in UAAP Season 88 U19 action, helping lead his team to an 8-6 showing in the league standings.

Considered one of the best young guards in the country today, Dabao will now continue his development against tougher competition in the NCAA collegiate level.

He has five years of eligibility beginning NCAA Season 102 and will get the chance to develop under the system of Yuri Escueta, who has helped shape some of the top point guards in college ball today such as Jacob Cortez and Nygel Gonzales.
