Former NBA player Myke Henry to play as NLEX import

The NLEX Road Warriors have found their import for the upcoming PBA Governors’ Cup in Myke Henry, a former player for the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA, head coach Jong Uichico confirmed to ALL-STAR Magazine on Wednesday, July 17.
Henry is a 6-foot-6 wingman who is well travelled and has been a professional basketball player for nearly a decade. He played NCAA Div I hoops with Illinois then DePaul before spending time with Oklahoma City and Memphis’ NBA G-League teams. He averaged 5.3 points in 18.9 minutes per contest in 20 game appearances for the Grizzlies in the 2017-2018 NBA season.
The 31-year-old, Chicago, IL native has also played pro hoops in Mexico, Italy, Indonesia, Israel, France, Greece, and Poland. Furthermore he won silver as part of USA Basketball’s 3×3 team in the 2016 FIBA 3×3 World Cup held in China.
Henry now joins an NLEX squad mentored by a new head coach in Jong Uichico and led by superstar Robert Bolick. The Road Warriors added firepower in the recent PBA Draft, selecting La Salle’s Jonnel Policarpio and MPBL standout Brandon Ramirez.
