High School Star Marc Burgos Commits to FEU Tamaraws
Marc Burgos is staying with FEU, this time in the collegiate ranks.
The highly regarded forward has decided to commit to the FEU Tamaraws, bringing his high school journey with FEU full circle as he prepares to move up to the seniors division.
Burgos had been one of the key pieces for FEU-Diliman in the UAAP boys’ basketball tournament, earning attention for his size, rebounding, defense, and ability to deliver in crucial moments. He was critical in their road to the UAAP U19 basketball title last month.
Burgos also built his stock beyond the UAAP after representing the Philippines in youth international competition and emerging as one of the more promising prospects in his class. During his high school run, he became known as a dependable frontcourt presence and a player FEU could lean on in pressure-packed situations.
For Burgos, the decision ultimately came from a deep sense of belonging.
“Yung puso ko kasi, FEU talaga, and famliy napo sakin itong FEU. Parang tahanan ko na po ‘to and gusto ko din po makatulong sa seniors team po.”
His commitment gives the Tamaraws another homegrown piece to build around as the program continues to strengthen its future in the collegiate division. They are expected to be UAAP Final Four contenders under head coach Sean Chambers in UAAP Season 89.
