Dark Horses and Old Faithfuls: Players to Watch Out For in MPL-PH S15
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 15 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet, with a mix of seasoned veterans and rising stars ready to leave their mark. As teams recalibrate their rosters and strategies, some players stand out as potential game-changers. Whether they are proven champions or hungry up-and-comers, here are the names to keep an eye on this season.
The Dark Horses
Jeymz (ECHO)

A seasoned veteran with years of experience, Jeymz is one of the most underrated players in the EXP lane. Now playing for Twisted Minds, he brings leadership, consistency, and an unshakable mindset to a squad that thrives on aggressive play. His role in maintaining map control and enabling his team’s carries will be crucial in their campaign for another title run.
JamesPangks (AP BREN)

A new face in the MPL scene, JamesPangks has shown glimpses of brilliance in amateur circuits and the MDL. JamesPangks led Lazy Esports to a dominant run in MDL Season 4, securing the championship against RRQ Kaito and earning both the Finals MVP and Regular Season MVP awards. With LAZY Esports known for developing young talent into elite competitors, this could be the season JamesPangks cements his place among the league’s best.
Louis (Smart Omega)

Louis has seen action in MPL PH Season 13 but was later transferred to the MDL. In In MDL Season 4, he led his team to the MDL playoffs, only to be bested by LAZY Esports led by JamesPangks. This season, Louis proved behind the scenes that he deserves to be back in the MPL. After all, climbing out of the MDL and into the MPL is no easy task: It requires tireless grinding and serious improvement. That’s why Coach Snap finally gave him the chance to return to the MPL as Smart Omega’s best Exp Laner. Louis is deadliest with the heroes Ruby, Yu Zhong, and Paquito.
The Old Faithfuls
K1ngKong (ONIC PH)

One of the most promising junglers in the league, K1ngKong has made a name for himself with his aggressive playstyle and calculated objective control. As ONIC PH looks to pick up another championship this season, K1ngKong’s clutch plays could be the key to their continuing dominance.
Oheb (Team Liquid PH)

There’s no questioning Oheb’s legacy. The former M3 World Champion is still one of the deadliest gold laners in the game, known for his impeccable positioning and clutch performances. While Blacklist International has disbanded, Oheb’s move to Team Liquid, formerly BLCK’s greatest rival ECHO, proved to be a great decision. “Our chemistry is so solid, it’s as if we’ve been playing together for years,” Oheb told ALL-STAR. “I did not feel like I was an outsider at all, they made me feel like family when I moved in.”
Hadji (Twisted Minds)

Hadji remains one of the most versatile players in MPL-PH history. His ability to switch roles seamlessly and adapt to different metas makes him invaluable to Twisted Mind’s game plan. He’s played jungler and mid laner roles, so expect him to be the mastermind behind some of the team’s most decisive victories.
Yawi

When you get talents such as Yawi into the fold, results follow. We’ve seen how Yawi’s shot calls produced multiple pickoffs, which were crucial game-changers for most of Yawi’s stay in ECHO. Sadly, he was benched for a full season when he transferred to Team Liquid Indonesia, and he considers his move to TNC for MPL Philippines Season 15 as his comeback season. “Papatunayan ko, hindi lang para sa sarili ko kundi para sa pamilya ko. Lalo na ngayon, dito na ulit ako sa Pilipinas, kung saan malalakas ang teams,” he told ALL-STAR.
