Grab Rider’s Score Request Leads to KarlTzy’s Special Message and MPL Surprise
A simple request for MPL score updates turned into an unforgettable fan moment. Grab rider Joshua Segundo was delivering food to Green Sun Hotel in Makati where the MPL Season 14 Playoffs are happening. While delivering food, he casually asked his customer for the latest match score through chat. The match was between Aurora and Team Liquid Philippines.
It was in the third game of the series and Aurora was leading 2-1.

He had no idea that the people he was delivering to were from MOONTON and the media. MOONTON Regional PR Manager, Keith Medrano, quickly gathered some MPL merch and decided to surprise him. Meanwhile, Mei Gongora, MPL-PH Press Corps Secretary, also chipped in, giving Joshua a few pieces of the fan merch she personally creates.
Joshua’s face lit up when Medrano handed him the surprise. “Maraming salamat po!” was all he could say, completely stunned and overjoyed. He was so overwhelmed, he momentarily forgot the names of the players he had been rooting for.
“Anong team sinusuportahan niyo?” ALL-STAR asked him.
“Team Liquid Philippines po!” he replied, admitting he’s a fan of all their players, especially KarlTzy and Sanford.
Despite Losing, KarlTzy Made a Grab Rider’s Day
After Team Liquid Philippines was eliminated by Aurora in the playoffs on October 16, KarlTzy, fresh from their loss, learned about Joshua’s enthusiastic support. Touched by the story, he prepared a special message for the loyal fan.
In a recorded video sent to Joshua, KarlTzy smiled warmly and said, “Idol Joshua Segundo, keep grinding lang, and thank you sa suporta!”
Joshua was in disbelief when he received the message, which ALL-STAR sent him via chat. His response to his idol was simple but full of hope: “Maraming salamat po!! Bawi po next season.”
It was already past midnight when Joshua, exhausted from a long day of deliveries, finally got home. Despite the tiring day, the thoughtful gesture from MPL and the message from KarlTzy made it all worth it.
