Team Falcons Seek Long-Overdue Breakthrough in MSC 2026

Carrying the memories of the painful past and the hunger to claim what they nearly had, Team Falcons return to the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) stage this year after a two-year absence.

Back in MSC 2024, Team Falcons—then representing the Philippines under the Falcons AP.Bren banner—came within one win of becoming champions, but Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants prevailed in a thrilling 4-3 Grand Finals showdown.

Will Team Falcons finally exorcise the ghosts of the past at MSC 2026, or will they suffer the same bitter ending once again?

Falcons reloaded

Team Falcons return to the MSC stage with nearly the same core that reached the 2024 Grand Finals, choosing continuity over a complete rebuild.

The biggest change came in the mid lane, where veteran Salic “Hadji” Imam steps into the role left by former captain Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, who had previously played for Indonesia’s EVOS.

Replacing an icon is no easy task, but Hadji brings championship pedigree, international experience, and the leadership qualities needed to fill the void.

His impact was already evident during MPL Philippines Season 17, where he helped Team Falcons secure a second-place finish and showed he could thrive under pressure on the biggest stages.

After overcoming countless obstacles and weathering turbulent stretches, Team Falcons now face their biggest challenge yet: proving they can take the final step—not as finalists or runners-up, but as champions standing at the summit.

A score to settle

MSC 2026 gives Team Falcons a chance to settle unfinished business against two of the strongest teams they have ever faced: Team Liquid PH and Selangor Red Giants.

Team Liquid PH remains one of Team Falcons’ biggest obstacles—the same team that denied them the MPL Philippines Season 17 title after a dominant 4-1 Grand Finals victory.

However, history tells a different story at the MSC stage, where Team Falcons (formerly Falcons AP.Bren) held the upper hand, eliminating Team Liquid PH (formerly Team Liquid ECHO) with a 3-1 semifinal victory to reach the Grand Finals in 2024.

Will history repeat itself? That’s what we’ll find out in this year’s edition of MSC.

Then there is Selangor Red Giants—the team that ended Falcons’ MSC 2024 title hopes after a thrilling seven-game Grand Finals battle, a heartbreaking Game 7 defeat that left Team Falcons just one victory away from the crown.

With Team Liquid PH and Selangor Red Giants both returning to the same tournament, another clash against Team Falcons could create another unforgettable chapter in one of MLBB’s most compelling international rivalries.

Finishing what they started

Unlike teams searching for chemistry, Team Falcons arrive in Paris with a roster built on experience and familiarity.

They have already proven they can compete against the best. Now, they must take the final step.

The heartbreak of MSC 2024, the setback against Team Liquid PH, and two years of waiting have all shaped this moment.

Now, they return to Paris chasing the one thing that has long eluded them: a championship title.

Two years after falling one game short of the MSC 2024 title, the Falcons arrive in Paris with another chance to rewrite their story—not as the team that came close, but as the champions who finally claimed the glory that rightfully belongs to them.
