Daily Fantasy Week 17: The NBA All-Star Weekend

The NBA All-Star Weekend is here. Midseason moves have been made, and only time will tell if these moves are yay or nay–but for now, the league and its fans have earned some celebrating.

Let the festivities begin!

Match 1: The San Antonio Spurs vs the Los Angeles Lakers (February 11)

The San Antonio Spurs have won 7 of their last 10 games, and are currently on a 4-game win streak. The Lakers are currently 5th in the western conference. Victor Wembanyama, Luka Doncic, and LeBron James are playing in the All-Star game. Laker Jaxson Hayes and Spur Carter Bryant are participating in the NBA Slam Dunk contest.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Victor Wembanyama

Vice Captain: Luka Doncic

Key picks: LeBron James, Austin Reaves, De’Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, Devin Vassell

Match 2: The Dallas Mavericks vs the Phoenix Suns (February 11)

The Dallas Mavericks have lost 7 in a row, with Cooper Flagg as their sliver of hope after the Doncic era. The Phoenix Suns are mid, but better than the Mavs. Devin Booker is set to play in the All-Star game, and is also participating in the NBA State Farm 3-point contest. The Suns are expected to win this game, yet it will be interesting to see Flagg and Booker duel it out.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Cooper Flagg

Vice Captain: Devin Booker

Key picks: Dillon Brooks, Mark Williams, Naji Marshall, P.J. Washington, Grayson Allen

Match 3: The Memphis Grizzlies vs the Denver Nuggets (February 12)

The Memphis Grizzlies are 20-32, and the Denver Nuggets are 3rd in the conference, but who knows? The previous weeks saw some unlikely upsets. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray are both participating in the All-Star Game. Murray is also participating in the NBA State Farm 3-point contest.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Nikola Jokic

Vice Captain: Jamal Murray

Key picks: Ty Jerome, Cedric Coward, Tim Hardaway Jr, Christian Braun

Match 4: The Miami Heat vs the New Orleans Pelicans (February 12)

Miami’s Norman Powell is still day-to-day, but he is set to participate in the NBA State Farm 3-point contest. His teammate Keshad Jones is also set to perform in the dunk contest. The Pelicans have been dismal and dysfunctional all season, and they have been sandbagging for much of the games. They have gotten some unlikely wins though, and they have promising players who can score.

Suggested Daily Fantasy lineup:

Captain: Trey Murphy III

Vice Captain: Bam Adebayo

Key picks: Andrew Wiggins, Zion Williamson, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Saddiq Bey
