Jalen Green Suited Up In Kevin Quiambao’s Adidas Shoes

Jalen Green’s Houston Rockets secured their postseason ticket for the first time in five years, overcoming the visiting Utah Jazz. During Friday night’s matchup, Green tributed his mother’s homeland and one of the country’s best on foot—albeit fitting, given that it was the franchise’s celebration of Filipino Heritage Night.

Green took center stage in an unreleased Adizero Select 3.0 as the third NBA cager of Filipino descent. He choreographed a 21-point, eight-rebound, and six-assist outing as he extended his gratitude to his mother’s homeland more than 13,500 km from Houston.

“I didn’t even know coming into the game that this game was to clinch the playoff spot. So, being able to do that on Filipino Heritage Night is super important,” Green mentioned post-game.

“That country over there supports me so much and shows so much love to me every night. I was able to wear Filipino heritage shoes on Filipino Heritage Night and get a win,” he added.

Originally designed by Filipino designer Quiccs Maiquez for Green-Archer-turned-Sono-Skygunner Kevin Quiambao, the pair features a predominantly pink upper, a yellow accented midsole, and a white outsole. Similarly, yellow-to-white three-stripes adorn the shoes’ side panels, as Quiccs-Quiambao co-branding appears on the heel.

Adidas Philippines hints at a public release for the pair, though there is no exact date as of writing.
