Jordan Brand crowns world’s best one-on-one hoopers in Paris

With the culmination of its global The One basketball tournament, Jordan Brand has crowned hoopers from the United States and France as the best one-on-one basketball players in the world.
Tatianna Griffin, a 14-year-old from Los Angeles, and Steve Bah, a 17-year-old from Paris, emerged victorious from The One finals in Paris, where they squared off against top athletes from qualifying tournaments around the world in one-on-one battles that recalled the very origins of the Jumpman and underscored Jordan Brand’s deep connection with the global basketball community.
The tournament finals, featuring 20 hoopers from around the world, unfolded inside District 23, Jordan Brand’s unprecedented elevation of Paris’ diverse 18th arrondissement into a global sport and cultural hub. The hoopers advanced through exhilarating, win-or-go-home competition that embodied Jordan Brand’s bold and defiant spirit — and provided athletes a once-in-a-lifetime chance to broadcast their greatness on the world stage.
In being named The One, Griffin and Bah earned unmatched bragging rights, a championship belt and a partnership with Jordan Brand that includes a role in the upcoming Air Jordan 40 campaign.
Among those on hand to watch their crowning performances were Jordan Brand President Sarah Mensah, athletes Chris Paul and Zion Williamson, film director Spike Lee and District 23 Creative Director Youssouf Fofana.
After the competition concluded, Jordan Brand welcomed hip-hop artists Rema and Fat Joe for exclusive performances that further interlaced sport and culture as part of the brand’s ongoing programming inside District 23.
