Mike Phillip’s ‘Club Redeemed’ Gives Glory Back to God

It’s a two-on-one fastbreak and the De La Salle Green Archers are off to the races.

Coach Topex Robinson’s trusted wing, Earl Abadam, sends the rock forth, with Mike Phillips soaring through the air as if an invisible being was lifting the 6’8” veteran. To nobody’s surprise, he converts the lob, but apart from his raw athleticism and talent, he places his performance in a greater being—evidenced by the phrase “God Did” imprinted on his arm sleeves.

More than just an on-court memento, Phillips is known to speak highly and diligently exercise his faith. It was a communal connection that inspired him and Justin Galang’s Club Redeemed—a movement inspired by their spiritual journeys of sharing their experiences through their passion for their beliefs infused by street style.

“[Club Redeemed] is about trying to inspire people about where we get our faith from, how it works, and recognizing that God works in the highs and lows, Phillips tells ALL-STAR Magazine.

“If you’re in a dark place, know that you’re there for a reason, and God gave you a purpose and that he loves you. That was something I went through and I was able to have the blessing to share that with my teammates. So we’re just trying to spread his love and glory,” he added.

Released last Saturday, September 21, 2024, Club Redeemed unveiled its “God Did” collection, through a capsule that exudes faith as a lifestyle. The piece features a passage from Zechariah 4:6: “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” inscribed on its rear, alongside minimalist branding.

The GOD DID Shirt is now available at clubredeemed.com for ₱750 in Black-White and White-Green colorways.
