Sports Paradise’s ‘The DUNK Paradise’ Converges Beachwear and Basketball
Sports Paradise narrates a basketball-driven tale, infusing its tropical beginnings with basketball—an arguable staple sport widely practiced in the country. In partnership with ASSIST, the Boracay-born brand releases a five-piece collection, paying homage to the ’90s brand, an era rich in hooping culture filled with highlights above the rim.
According to Sports Paradise, the Dunk brand was dedicated to the founder’s firstborn, an avid fanatic of Michael Jordan’s game and undying legacy. During his decade-long tenure with the Chicago Bulls, he amplified the game through his on-court excellence and greatness, reaching a nation 13,000 kilometers away from the Windy City. Reaching greater heights, Dunk’s clothing line was birthed and initially distributed in bulk and purchased wholesale from their Baclaran, Pasay, headquarters.
The original Dunk woven apparel tags were stitched into different areas of their pieces, from basketball jerseys to performance shorts. Sports Paradise tributes its near half-century presence, introducing DUNK Shorts (₱1,200.00) in “Caicos” and “Morpho, a HOOP Hoodie (₱2,500.00), and its DRAFT Tees (₱1,200.00) in “Blanc” and “Nickel.”
