Steph Curry might never win a championship again if he stays a Golden State Warrior.
The gold medal game of the 2024 Olympics has shown that Steph Curry is still a deadly shooter even at his age, given that he has the right teammates. Curry is still a microwave, and his numbers are better than a lot of 3-point dudes in the league.
The best the Warriors could do was getting Georges Niang and Brandon Williams, who are not really game-changing additions to a mediocre roster. Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler are all on the wrong side of 35. The Warriors starting five come December could be Steph, Jimmy Butler, Draymond, Al Horford, and Kristaps–the average of this group is a mindblowing 35.6 years old.
Imagine this line-up competing with the Thunder, or the Spurs, or the new-look Wolves with the jilted dude Kuminga. Or just even the Lakers, who are their division rivals. The scenarios are not looking good for Steph and the Dubs.
It’s going to be a rough year for Curry fans.
For Laki Play Players: HOT! Steph is the primary ball-handler and the number one option, especially early in the season. He will score a lot of points or dish a lot of assists. He can be a vice-captain if the opposing team has a Stephon Castle/SGA-type elite guard.
Traditional Fantasy Players: MID! Steph is old, and the absence of Jimmy Butler during the first half of this season (could even be longer) can put a strain on his body, which could lead to fewer games. The Warriors are in the play-in purgatory, and it is uncertain if Steph
