Tenniscore is Here to Stay Because of Asics and A.P.C.
By now, it is no surprise that fashion has converged with sports and other “movement”-based activities. In the 1970s and 1990s, Blokecore’s tribute to the “world’s greatest game” saw football jerseys used as casual staple pieces. The Cut Magazine’s Jason Chen recently introduced Gorpcore, featuring hikers and functional outdoor silhouettes seeping into everyday closet options.
While the exact date of its conception is unknown, Tenniscore’s influence emerged in the 2020s. The movement is attributable to increased interest in outdoor activities, social media, and racquet sports growth. Consisting of sleek and “quiet luxury” ensembles, their relevance in 2025 continues as Asics and A.P.C. play a role in its bullish surge.

Asics and A.P.C. rekindle a three-year partnership, this time through a Tenniscore-inspired wardrobe. Said to consist of 50 ready-to-wear pieces (20-piece on-court and 30-piece off-court), the collection draws influence from ’70s fashion and the present’s brimming racquet culture.
Merging functionality with style, Asics introduces its Gel-Resolution X and Solution Speed FF 3—the brand’s premier silhouettes, infused with A.P.C.’s Parisian distinction. Crowd favorite Gel Kayano 14 appears in two colorways: “A.P.C. White Pure Silver” and “A.P.C. Midnight Indigo Fog,” glistening with reflective properties. For racquet junkies at heart, the collaboration celebrates timelessness, function, and sportsyle—on the court or peering in from the grandstand.
The Asics x A.P.C. collaboration will be available at Commonwealth’s Greenbelt and SM Aura branches and the A.P.C. Pop-Up at Rockwell on Friday, April 11, 2025.
