7-Eleven Trail Celebrates10th Year as Cyclists Battle

Press Release

The 7-Eleven Trail came blazing through for its milestone 10th year, once again cementing its status as one of the Philippines’ most anticipated cross-country mountain bike (XCM) races. The 2026 edition gathered the country’s elite cyclists and promising young athletes for an electrifying 40-km test of endurance, technical skill, and mental grit.

Thousands of riders – from elite professionals and aspiring racers to weekend warriors, youth competitors, and technical trail specialists – pushed their limits on a demanding course featuring steep climbs, technical descents, and divided A-line/B-line sections designed for different skill levels. With adrenaline-pumping jumps and fast-flowing trails, competitors went all-out in one of the most challenging races on the local MTB calendar.

Now in its 10th year, the 7-Eleven Trail continues to set the gold standard for local XCM racing, consistently attracting one of the most competitive and diverse fields in Philippine mountain biking. More than just a race, the event has become a powerful force in building the MTB community and bringing riders together in celebration of the sport.

A Decade of Building the MTB Community

Since its launch in 2014, the 7-Eleven Trail has grown into one of the country’s most sought-after mountain bike races. Bringing together elite and amateur cyclists eager to test their limits, the event has fostered a thriving community built on shared passion, mutual respect, and the love of the trails.

Jose Victor Paterno, Chairman of the Board of Philippine Seven Corporation, reflected on reaching this incredible milestone. “Reaching our 10th year is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of. What began as a simple idea to encourage people to get outdoors and stay active has grown into a race that brings together riders, families, and communities from all over the country,” Paterno said.“Every year, we see athletes push their limits and newcomers take on their first major challenge. That sense of community and shared achievement is what the 7-Eleven Trail is all about.”

Strong Partnerships Power the Race

This year’s race was made possible through the support of partners and sponsors who helped fuel riders from start to finish. Leading cycling and performance brands such as Spyder PH, RD Cycle for Cannondale, and All Terra for GT, along with partners like Selecta, Coca-Cola, Wilkins, Summit, Red Bull, Gardenia, Mister Donut, and many others, contributed in elevating the race experience and helped riders tackle the demanding course with confidence and pride.

Longtime partners Timberland Heights, Timberland Highlands Resort, Timberland Mountain Bike Park, the City of San Mateo, and the Araneta-Progressive Development Corporation continued their support of the race.
