Erica de Luna etched her name into the history books with a performance for the ages, delivering the first-ever quadruple-double in UAAP history across all five divisions. The 18-year-old standout from De La Salle Zobel (DLSZ) led her team to a dominant 114-24 victory over archrival Ateneo de Manila University in the UAAP Season 87 Girls’ Division.

A Historic UAAP Feat

De Luna showcased her all-around brilliance, finishing with an astounding 32 points on 13-of-21 shooting, 16 rebounds, 12 steals, and 11 assists. Her remarkable stat line not only fueled DLSZ’s overwhelming win but also solidified her place as the first player – across the men’s, women’s, boys’, juniors’, and girls’ divisions – to ever record a quadruple-double in UAAP history.

“Nakakaboost ito ng confidence heading into my collegiate career. Even though konti lang yung time at preparation namin, proud ako aside from my stats, na we ended the season with a win on a high note,” said De Luna, a Grade 12 student from Buli Elementary School.

DLSZ’s Commanding UAAP Victory

DLSZ asserted dominance from the opening whistle, racing to a 31-6 first-quarter lead before stretching their advantage to 59-12 at halftime. De Luna wasn’t the only player who delivered an outstanding performance – Princess Cordero added 25 points, eight assists, five steals, and two rebounds, while Naima Navarro contributed a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds. Alexandra Dominguez also chipped in with 11 points, five rebounds, and one assist to round out DLSZ’s dominant effort.

Despite finishing the season with a 2-4 record, DLSZ ended their campaign on a high note, while Ateneo remained winless at 0-6. Meanwhile, UST (5-0) and NUNS (4-1) are set to battle it out in the finals.

A Bright Future Ahead

With this historic performance, De Luna has cemented herself as one of the brightest young stars in Philippine basketball. As she prepares for the next chapter in her career at the collegiate level, her quadruple-double serves as a statement of her immense potential.
