Former Ateneo Blue Eagles guard Jared Brown has entered his name in the list of applicants for the 2024 PBA Draft, his representatives confirmed to ALL-STAR Magazine.
The shifty guard who spent one season as a respected shooter in the UAAP men’s basketball division will follow through on his decision to become a pro which he articulated after departing Ateneo late last year.
Brown, a 5-foot-10 point guard, averaged 9.1 points and 2.2 dimes a contest in Season 86. His 20-point performance was critical in Ateneo’s victory over Adamson to make the Final Four as he ended the final weeks of his Philippine collegiate career with a bang.
The former Westmont College standout also had a 20-point outburst against University of the East early in the season. Throughout the Blue Eagles’ campaign he was a reliable late-game performer.
The lefty is represented by Nadine Jamal, Deshaun Harris, and Anthony Brodett. He has the talent to become a role player for a PBA franchise with his quick-triggered pull-ups, playmaking ability, and tough demeanor.
Brown’s desire, according to his representation, is to find a landing spot where he can grow most as a basketball player in Asia’s oldest basketball league.
