Montemayor, Quiñones Dominate 7-Eleven Trail 2025

The 7-Eleven Trail 2025 brought another thrilling chapter to the country’s mountain biking scene as hundreds of cyclists tackled the challenging trails of Timberland Heights in a grueling 40-kilometer cross-country race. Now in its ninth year, the event has cemented its reputation as one of the premier MTB competitions in the Philippines.

With a fiercely competitive field, riders navigated rugged terrain, steep climbs, and adrenaline-pumping descents. Emerging at the top of the pack was Emmanuel Dave Montemayor, who secured the overall championship title with a gun time of 1:47:06. He edged out James Carl Dela Cruz (1:47:07) and Jerico Rivera (1:48:29), who finished second and third, respectively. Montemayor took home a ₱25,000 cash prize, while Dela Cruz and Rivera won ₱15,000 and ₱10,000.

In the female division, Nicole Quiñones dominated the race to claim the top prize of ₱25,000. She was followed by Shagne Yao and Adel Pia Sendrijas, who secured podium finishes with prizes of ₱15,000 and ₱10,000.

The 16-18 Male Age Group category saw Cleo Dale Morales taking first place, earning ₱7,000, while Laurent Briel Ballog and Jan Alfred Dominic Ong finished second and third, respectively.

Since its launch in 2014, the 7-Eleven Trail has grown into a major event for both professional and amateur cyclists, pushing riders to test their endurance and skill. Jose Victor Paterno, President & CEO of Philippine Seven Corporation, expressed excitement about the event’s continued growth.

“We are thrilled to see the 7-Eleven Trail reach its ninth year, bringing together passionate cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts from all over the country. Seeing the growing community of riders challenge themselves each year is truly inspiring. As we look ahead to our 10th year, expect an even bigger and more exhilarating experience,” Paterno said.

Riders enjoyed the strong support of sponsors who provided refreshments, including Coca-Cola, Gatorade, Red Bull, and Pocari Sweat, while food partners such as Selecta, Mister Donut, and Gardenia ensured participants stayed fueled. Meanwhile, top cycling brands like GT, Cannondale, and Shimano were showcased, thanks to partnerships with RD Cycles, All Terra Cyclery, and NeoZigma.

With Timberland Heights and the City of San Mateo once again hosting the event, the 7-Eleven Trail 2025 proved to be another milestone in Philippine mountain biking. As the countdown to the 10th anniversary in 2026 begins, riders and fans alike can expect even greater challenges and excitement in the years to come.
