Tier One Has Big Plans for 2025

Tier One Entertainment made waves in Pasig just before Christmas, with an electrifying event dubbed “Blackout: The Kickoff.” The esports giant is gearing up for its next big move in 2025.

Speaking at “Blackout: The Kickoff”—a groundbreaking festival combining gaming, art, and music—Tryke Gutierrez, co-founder of Tier One,  made it clear that the company is thinking bigger, not smaller.

The Bigger Picture: Blackout as a Platform

“Blackout isn’t just a festival,” Gutierrez explained during our interview. “It’s a platform. We’re not just about gaming anymore; we’re about celebrating all kinds of passions—P-Pop, arts, Beyblades, Magic cards, music. It’s about breaking down boxes and letting people celebrate who they are and what they love.”

Despite its eclectic mix, Blackout underscores the same ethos that made Blacklist International a household name: community and shared passion. The event attracted 3,500 attendees who enjoyed performances, exhibitions, and interactive experiences. And this was just the beginning.

“We called it ‘The Kickoff’ for a reason,” Gutierrez said. “We’re dreaming of an event that can host 10,000 to 15,000 people. Life is about memories, and we want people to make those memories with us.”

Tier One’s Bigger Event in 2025

“This event is called, Blackout: The Kickoff. That means there’s a bigger event coming up?” we asked Tryke.

“YES! A lot of people has been telling me, is this the kickoff? There’s 3,500 people at the kickoff. We want to accommodate as many people as possible, I think there’s so much to celebrate in this world, if we can create a platform where 10,000 to 15,000 people can come in celebrating arts, music, and gaming, I think that’s a dream. Life is about memories. Hopefully you’d make memories with us,” said Tryke.

Gutierrez emphasized that Tier One’s mission has always been to grow the gaming ecosystem—not just maintain its status quo. Blacklist International, with its legacy of innovation and dominance, is central to that vision.

Looking Ahead to 2025

With Blackout setting the tone, Tier One is poised to expand the event even further this year, which is targeted for June 2025. Whether through larger-scale events or new initiatives, Gutierrez and his team are determined to keep pushing boundaries and creating opportunities for gamers and fans alike.

“The goal has always been to make the pie bigger,” he said. “We want more people to discover the joys of gaming, art, and music—not separately, but together.”
