Why Did Blacklist Bench Dlar and Oheb?

During and after the heartbreaking match between Blacklist International and Aurora, fans of the two teams were asking two important questions: Where is Oheb? Where is Dlar? The two players are some of the most popular veterans in Blacklist International. Dlar was the former franchise player of Onic Philippines, while Oheb was one-third of the famed “MV3” trio composed of himself, Hadji, and Edward.

Blacklist International head coach Bon Chan revealed why he decided to bench the two star players.

“Si Dlar, kailangan kong i-balance yung mechanical skill and yung macro. Dlar is the type of player who has high IQ, pero lumalabas sa mga practice namin na mas kailangan ng mas magaling sa micro, and doon naman nag excel si Lord JM para ma-balance yung composition ng team. Pero parehas si Dlar at si lord JM na may strengths. Si Lord JM sa micro, tapos si Dlar naman, sobrang taas ng battlefield IQ,” Coach Bon Chan told ALL-STAR.

Is this the same case with Oheb? 

“Yes, same lang din naman. Si Oheb is an aggressive type of player, but since mayroon na ring aggressive na jungler, POS4, and POS5, kailangan i-balance yung composition. Kilala ninyo naman si Oheb, kapag siya yung naglalaro, sugod nang sugod, ganoon siya katapang,” said Coach Bon Chan.

Blacklist International has the largest player pool in MPL-PH Season 14, and it is highly possible the team will utilize all of its players throughout the season. So depending on the team’s performance, Dlar and Oheb could see action in the coming days.
