Jordan Brand’s Global One-on-One Basketball Tournament Returns
Jordan Brand is bringing back The One, its premier global one-on-one basketball tournament spotlighting elite young talent, with the Manila qualifier scheduled for June 28 at the Jordan Manila Flight Deck in Bonifacio Global City.
The event will feature 12 boys and 12 girls aged 15 to 18, selected from across the Philippines. They’ll compete for a chance to represent the country on the world stage — and ultimately earn the title of The One. UAAP and NCAA junior standouts are expected to join the competition, which wraps up with a local DJ battle to celebrate basketball and street culture.

Regional qualifiers are being held across major cities including Beijing, London, Los Angeles, and Manila. Winners from each region will head to New York in August, where 20 top athletes will enter the finals. The event will be live-streamed and include a knockout round format, culminating in male and female champions being crowned.

“The One tournament provides a platform for young athletes from around the world to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level,” said Sarah Mensah, President of Jordan Brand. “This event embodies Jordan Brand’s spirit of competition and excellence.”
The format pays tribute to Michael Jordan’s early days — tough one-on-one battles in his backyard with his brother Larry. The tournament aims to capture that same competitive fire while ushering in the next generation of basketball stars.

Last year’s inaugural competition in Paris saw Tatianna Griffin of Los Angeles and Steve Bah of Paris take home the titles. Griffin described the experience as “incredible,” calling her role as a Jordan Brand ambassador the “ultimate symbol of greatness.”
This year’s finals will again blend basketball with global street culture, closing with a DJ showdown in New York — a nod to the city’s foundational role in hoops history.
