Basketball Prospects Submit Names for 2025 PBA Draft

Eight rising basketball players have officially entered the 2025 PBA Rookie Draft, according to player agent Edgar Mangahas. The group includes Geremy Robinson Jr., Danielle Mallari, Patrick Ramos, Ximone Sandagon, Kobe Monje, Greg Cunanan, John Matthew Bravo, and James Tempra.

All eight have varied basketball backgrounds, ranging from collegiate leagues like the NCAA and UAAP to professional stints in leagues such as the MPBL and PinoyLiga. Their draft applications add depth and intrigue to what is shaping up to be a competitive rookie class.

Geremy Robinson Jr., a former UST Growling Tiger and Hawaii native, recently parted ways with his UAAP squad due to academic setbacks. Despite a limited season, his athleticism and two-way upside remain promising as he looks to revive his career in the PBA.

Danielle Mallari brings a blend of experience and maturity. The 6-foot-3 wingman has played overseas and in the MPBL, showing solid production and leadership qualities, most notably during his time with Arellano in NCAA Season 99.

Patrick Ramos, who has experience both at UC Santa Cruz and in the local collegiate circuit, made headlines for his efficient guard play and standout performances in key matchups. His well-rounded skill set and court vision could translate well to the next level.

Ximone Sandagon has gained attention through his play in the MPBL with the Quezon Huskers. Known for his physical presence in the paint and rebounding consistency, the 6-foot-4 forward provides size and hustle that could fill gaps for teams in need of frontcourt depth.

Kobe Monje, a former Letran team captain, has developed into a reliable forward with strong defensive instincts. His background in both basketball and track and field speaks to his athletic versatility, while his leadership experience adds an intangible asset.

Greg Cunanan’s reputation as a clutch performer was cemented in NCAA Season 100 when he hit a game-winning three-pointer for Lyceum. A dependable point guard with composure under pressure, he enters the draft with momentum and the ability to contribute right away.

John Matthew Bravo, also from Lyceum, overcame significant injuries during his final collegiate season. His return to form, including a 20-point, 10-rebound game, highlights his resilience and potential as a wing player capable of impacting both ends of the floor.

Rounding out the group is James Tempra, a 6-foot-4 forward who began his collegiate career with FEU and later competed in PinoyLiga. Known for his efficiency and rebounding, Tempra brings a steady presence that could bolster a team’s second unit.

With all seven names now in the official draft pool, teams will be closely evaluating how each player fits into their systems. The presence of multiple guards and forwards with diverse skill sets gives general managers more options heading into the league’s 50th season.

Mangahas’s announcement confirms the commitment of these prospects to take the next step in their careers. The 2025 PBA Draft is expected to be one of the deepest in recent years, and this group will be looking to prove they belong at the highest level of Philippine basketball.
